16.00 – 17.00 Commemoration ceremony in the Memorial “Koduaias” (Home garden)
At the ceremony, we commemorate the victims of totalitarian regimes with speeches and prayers.
Everyone has the opportunity to place a wreath or a bouquet of flowers on the memorial.
On August 23, 1939, National Socialist Germany and the Communist USSR signed a pact with secret protocols that divided Europe into spheres of influence, creating the conditions for the outbreak of World War II, the occupation of several independent countries, and the expansion of mass repressions.
